Experience

Annabel joined VVGB in 2025 as an Associate after completing her traineeship in 2024.  Since joining VVGB, Annabel has assisted VVGB in representing international companies, associations and government bodies in various trade defense proceedings, including landmark cases such as the EU anti-subsidy investigation concerning imports of Battery Electric Vehicles from China. Annabel also assists VVGB in representing clients before EU courts and in WTO dispute settlement. Additionally, she supports clients on EU customs law and EU regulatory matters.

Before joining VVGB as an Associate, Annabel gained experience through traineeships in the international arbitration and competition law departments of leading international law firms in Paris and Brussels, as well as at a government ministry and think tanks. 

Annabel completed her legal studies at Sciences Po Law School, where she was selected for the Global Business Law and Governance program with Columbia Law School and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. While at Columbia Law School, she received the Best in Class Award in Law of the WTO and worked as a research assistant for Professors Petros C. Mavroidis and Kabir Duggal on topics relating to WTO law and investor-state arbitration. Prior to her legal training, she earned her undergraduate degree at Sciences Po Paris’ Franco-German campus, which included an academic exchange at Peking University.

Annabel has participated in, and later served as a judge for, the French national round of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
